The Wednesday Night Runners are a motley but friendly lot who meet every Wednesday evening at 5:30 at The Runners Market, Bearden in Knoxville. Runners and walkers of all speeds are always welcome. Come run!

Haunted Corn Maze


While many WNRs are training for various marathons, some of us, well, lesser-achieving WNRs have been goofing off. Several of us went to a haunted corn maze (Maple Lane Farms) in Greenback on Sunday, Oct. 26 and met some new friends. We are hoping they show up for some Wednesday night runs although most seem not quite up to the WNR standards--they're a little unsavory. I thought that even I could probably outrun a guy holding a chainsaw, so I'm hoping he shows up some Wednesday with the chainsaw. By the end of the evening, we were all good friends.
Next year, however, we might shave an hour or so off our maze time by consulting the maze map on the way in!
