After the WNR on May 20, we celebrated Michele Owen's birthday with Magpie cupcakes at the Runner's Market and then moved on to Cindy Spangler's house. Cindy hosted a good luck gathering for the Quick Chicks, who have ambitious plans for running marathons and ultra marathons this summer. I was tired from just listening to the plans. We took the opportunity to take a group WNR photo--thanks to Chris Rey, who always insists on staying behind the scenes. Thanks, Cindy, for hosting. Good luck to the Quick Chicks and all of the other WNRs who are planning races this summer.
